Has anyone switched the bulb that's on the rear bumper side marker to a LED. I'm thinking about changing it to a blue LED but am not sure if its:
1) Possible?
2) Legal? - My friend told me it wasn't legal?

Any info appreciated ! Thanks :D

Not sure if it's illegal where you are at but most states are illegal to have them, so like everyone else says check with your state law.

Yes you can stick an LED in there, i've done that myself. However, blue is illegal and also pointless. Just get a red 192/168 style LED bulb.

A blue bulb with the red lens will produce a purple light. Still a little iffy. I'd stick to a white/red bulb.

Definitely possible... if you planned on using a clear lens.

...but definitely illegal.

Whenever I see any type of blue lights on the outside of a car, to me it screams rice.
