Redryder is saying larger tire size will make your speedo show SLOWER than what you are actually going, not faster.
Not only that but wrong tire size will cause your odometer to read incorrectly.

My speedo reads ~10% too FAST, going the larger tires will bring gauge ~7% DOWN, so it will be off, showing ~3% faster than I'm going.

Was showing ~66mph when traveling ~60mph, Now will show ~61mph when treveling ~60mph. Close enough for me.

Yes the thought had occurred to me of remedying the situation by going with slightly larger tires, bringing the speedo down a bit. 2 problems: a) the cost of the larger tires would not justify fixing a speedo that (in my case anyway) is only off by 5%, and b) wrong size tires throws the odometer off which I would rather have as accurate as possible.
