I was wondering, has anyone seen one of these thermal imaging cameras used during a dyno run or maybe after a race to see how heat is being transferred under the hood?

These aren't pics of cars, but I just want to see if anyone is familiar with any shop that is using this method, 'cause I've been looking at investing in one...but they sure ain't cheap

For the sole purpose of dynos runs etc.. I think it's a waste. Unless of course you own a dyno or a shop, then again I would charge extra for a set of FLIR pictures or video.

i'm guessing you can adjust the sensitivity way up? because everything would get hot in a hurry..... i'm thinking it would all be colored pretty similar unless you can change the sensitivity.

cool but idk how much it would really help change what the tuners do.

you don't need a camera to figure out how heat will flow, simple physics can determine that... seems like one of those things that serves only to impress noobs or people with tons of money who would rather pay to solve problems than to work to solve them
