Window won't go up

My passenger side window has recently stopped going all the way up. The window goes up and down fine until about a quarter of an inch from the top.

There is a pretty loud noise that happens when trying to go all the way up. It sounds like it goes all the way up and then drops down.

I took the door panel off but didn't know what exactly to look for. I could manually push and pull the pane up an down about an inch from the top. It seems like its not locking in to place.

Any ideas or anyone who has had similar problems?

Either check your channels, grease regulator or install new motor.

This is how my driver regulator died. The gear that drives the window up and the teeth on the regulator had worn down to the point there it slipped. Change the regulator and motor assembly.
