I don't know about the cars... but GM makes some VERY reliable trucks..... and I'd rather have a full size Chevy or Ford than any other truck out there...

I don't think American Car makers have made a truly reliable car in a long time, but on the same token, I've always said the same thing browntown says about trucks... Except that I have plans to get a Ridgeline (as soon as I can afford it), not because it performs better than American trucks (which it doesn't in many aspects) but because of the Honda INNOVATION that they use. American car makers can claim that they are innovative all they want, but most of their "amazing innovations" were practiced by Honda long before it was their innovation... That's my opinion...

GM really stepped up with the 100,000 mile warranty..unheard of for american cars..not to mention a 100,000 mile warranty on a 500hp N/A factory tuned ready to race car? I mean come on thats flat out hardcore there..not even going to mention the cobalt SS..you'd play hell getting another manufacture to warranty a factory tuned performance car with 100,000 miles..most companies actually down grade the warranty on tuned cars

Yes, but keep in mind that a 100,000 mile warranty doesn't mean the vehicle is any better. Look at Kia's. Those come with 100,000 mile warranty's and they're pieces of crap, if you ask me.

Well I understand that but the warranty can be taken 2 ways..the cars are crap and they need to have outrageous warranties to keep people happy..or they are confident enough in their cars they can offer a huge warranty like that knowing that it probably won't be used that much anyways. Kia isn't that bad of a car for the price really. Rios brand new are what? $9,000? if that loaded..most of the Kia dealers around here offer a deal where if you buy a Kia minivan or SUV they give you a brand new Rio free. Kias are more of a point A to point B car..a commuters car

Also, Hyundai has come a long way. Personally, I think the Sonata looks pretty good. (Cause it looks like an Accord...LOL)

If I sold my Accord today and had to buy a car, I'd probably go for a 2nd gen RX-7, or if I could swing it, an Integra Type R. If I had more money, a Dodge Magnum would also be cool. It's a wide range of choices, I wouldn't be able to make up my mind easily :) .

My friend had an '02 or '03 Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax for a work truck, and that thing was fun to drive around in :D . It was faster than anyone expected it to be, and with only a couple hundred bucks worth of mods, the power gain was incredible. It's too bad he had a few issues with the electrical system and the fuel injectors, otherwise, it was a really awesome truck.
