Your main focus points would probably be the shifter's harness (matching up with accord wiring) and the TL's ecu and tranny solenoid. If you (or whoever does labor for you) can get a good idea of how that works, you'd be off to a good start.

The parts department at the dealership can get you circuit diagrams of the electrical components of the parts you'd be working with. If you've never looked at one of those they will be confusing, but if you just start matching up its layout to the wiring on the physical parts themselves you can kind of get an idea of what's what.

The more knowledge you have about what you're working with, the less chance of some mechanic taking advantage of you.

Despite the great advice^^^^, emii, I still wouldn't waste the $$$ on it.

You need to get suspension, there are definately other performance mods you can do if you are in to that, and the money could be used to make the car really stand out/perform better than doing a tiptronic swap.

Save up for a 6spd swap and maybe even an J-Series swap. SO much more worth it, IMO.

Not sure if you have been reading up on it on V6P, but with so many options becoming available and the ease of doing the swap(for those so inclined), it really is becoming more of a desired mod.
