So yesterday I installed my 05 TL-S RSB...and it wasn't hard at all, except for the fact that it didn't want to play nice with my exhaust..(apex'i WS2).

I managed to 'force' it in, but the bar is in direct contact with the pipe and the flange. There is a bit of stress on both parts, but I don't think its stressed to the point of ripping the mounts or anything...=/

Is it ok to drive around like this? Obviously the pipes get hot, so would there be thermal stress on the RSB, reducing its strength? It's in direct contact so conduction would occur...

and also, now theres little to no travel rool for the exhaust - does this become a problem?

Thankss in advance

adjust the muffler and piping position... there should be no contact

It's only the driver's side...do you have a V6?

The hangers are in the only position they can go in...:(

any shop can adjust where your exhaust sits to an extent...

did it to my car took 5 minutes per hanger to adjust it

Ok I guess I'll drop by tonight...

That would mean I'd have to lower the exhaust right??

I'm already scraping the mufflers cuz the WS2's are so damn big lol

Thanks for the help :)

...But it's a no-no to just drive around like this...?

well it probably won't help the finish of the RSB.

I doubt there will be anywhere close to enough heat to affect the structural integrity and performance of the bar.

But just get it taken care of, cuz it's really easy to just bend the exhaust hanger a little bit.

^ Well it's just black, looks exactly like the stock one...lol but yeah.
If anything I'm worried about the finish on the exhaust =p

I'll go and get it lowered..and drive even more carefully lol
