are you serious? that's almost profiling in a sense.

I'd be like "oh and I have a pound of crack cocaine in my trunk, but you know...that's semantics, since I'm the new guy"

:lawl:

no that would be a terrible idea...
oh ya where i live the cops always do that but then they realize its me and just tell me to go :squintfinger: only if the car looks modified tho

Good luck OP

I got clocked one time going.. I think 71 in a 45 and that was a nightmare.

Story is like this.
I was late to a class,
Thought I'd shave some time by flying down this one road that is often completely abandoned. (Seemed like a good idea at the time you know cause late to class is life and death lol)

Sped up to 75, then coasted to the turn..

Go around the turn at about 45, stay at 45

First stop light lah dah dah..
Second stop light...
Ouch can't see, someone behind me is blinding me,

Woop woop.

Poop.

However, I haven't sped or driven in any other wreckless way since.
Unless you count the fact that my plates were expired for almost a year as being wreckless ... lol

Edit: Oh and by the way, yep I missed class that day. lol

Ouch...tough luck..Its interesting that you didnt have the car tagged/towed on the spot tho, so count yourself lucky for that. In Alberta (yea yea im Canadian..) they can arrest you righta way and tow your car. I saw it happen to a moron in a sl500 a year ago..
gl tho.

If that your first moving violation in a long time just push it back and oh there is no such thing as tickets being dropped in NY anymore the states doing what ever it can to make money and in some counties it is mandated for the officer to appear but have up to 3 absent or change of date but after those they have to show unless the court say otherwise

Your best bet is to see the judge the week before if they don't send you a notice of change date and tell them you're a college student you don't have fund to pay for a lawyer yaddie blah blah and ask to give you a few months

And when you do get a lawyer ask them to postpone it for you as long as they can to clear any bs they can use against you until you and the lawyer have to show up and most likely it can be reduce to a yield violation not good but its not speeding

But while typing just realize you mention you have an uncle in the state pd I would call him to talk to the officer and maybe the officer might get you off but don't know how except him say his radar wasn't set or whatever he might say

But always remember this you don't see a speed marker anywhere you're suppose to drive 35mph as a safety percaution for your self and other drivers

I've been thru it all with paying tickets, almost losing my license and paying my two lawyers and high auto insurance its not worth it, I could have had a swap when I first brought the accord or other mods but its my fault and but still have two to attend that been pushed for a While and no more tickets and of course the speeding stop I make sure to maintain a specific speed and just coast......good luck and I'm sure you'll be fine

I don't know what word you used, so I don't know if you're saying they're nothing to yours or much worse than yours...

but trust me, I doubt yours are anywhere near as asinine as ours when you're pulled over.

like people swallow their tongues waiting to hear why they get pulled over in this county, it's bad times.

sorry lol horrible sensoring...

what im trying to say is Virginia cops are assholes to New York drivers...my dad and I were in the right lane on some highway doing maybe 1 or 2 mph over the speed limit and got pulled over regardless of the VA drivers going much faster in the left lane. Funny thing, we got pulled over two more times on the way to Williamsburg, once by the same cop as that first time for going too slow bc my dad was going about 10 mph under the speed limit because we thought the cop was gunna pull us over for some bs again...i hate Virginia...will never go there again lol

:lawl: they're assholes to everyone dude, and I absolutely hate how they talk

swear to god, not a single time have I ever talked to a cop around here who didn't have the most jarhead alabama accent and wore their hat tilted like some fag highway trooper

even the ones that aren't white too, that's what's really scary, a spanish dude with an alabama accent :skurred:

**** I'm racist again...

i don't get why everyone's being so harsh on this guy

- fully admitted his mistake
- said he deserves to lose his license and he probably will
- says he got lucky before and doesn't deserve to get bailed out for this

i do hope that you lose your license and learn from it - but you're fortunate to walk out of this with only a hefty ticket and a license suspension

72 in a 30 is just ridiculous, smarten up and be safe
