Ticket for HID in Texas

i wouldnt be surprised. it causes an unbelievable amount of blinding glare for oncoming traffic, if you dont have projectors.

No, cars come with them from the factory. Sounds like you got a dumb cop, pissed cop, or cop you pissed off somehow. That is beatable if you have given us and a judge the full story.

i got till the 28th to show up to court

tried paying the ticket online but they said i can't and system can't find my name or something right now on internet haven't called up to the court place yet. and wanting to install my tsx projectors but how do i get DOT approved hid kits?

I could definitely see a cop ticketing someone if they are running HID's that aren't in projectors that blind people.

Just go pay the ticket. It'll probably be a fix it ticket.

I live in Houston and I got ticketed for my HIDs, but that is because they were 12k Purple. The officer specifically told me that HID's are legal, but they are only allowed to be a yellow, original white, blue, or amber color. They do however have to be DOT specified. If you have a normal/legal color (3k - 10k in the spectrum) and the box you got it in states that they are DOT specified then you should not have received a ticket for them.

This is also true. Cop told me if I get mine removed by my court date they will just drop the fine.
