Hey fellas I had a few questions.concerning sound not power:p

The stock muffler (I4) on my accord is ugly & rusting away! I've seen the s2k mufflers that people swap onto our cars..but has anyone done a rsx type s muffler. Its got a valve that opens at a certain pressure allowing to to flow almost straight through, picking up sound & flow.Or even the newer 06+ civic SI mufflers? This is the smallest overall size muffler..seems like an easier fit & possibly easier to find in good shape.
I'm not looking for performance..just looks and maybe a little more growl would be nice. Just looking for a good strong stock sounding car.
I also thought about replacing the mid-muffler with a 22" magnaflow glasspack/resonator..any thoughts to this?

Anyone using stock mufflers off other cars post up what you've got..maybe a picture to go with it. Please don't let this be a, "oh get "xx" aftermarket exhaust" cause thats not what I'm looking for. Looking to run a OEM muffler that will look clean & maybe give a little more sound.

6thgenJed is also running some OEM tsx muffler, but he is V6.

I forgot, but there was a member here running the RSX type S muffler.

Stock 2" piping with the s2000 was nice, but 2.25-2.5" muffler should make it sound a bit more aggressive.

With your s2k muffler it was the non-cr right? The twin loop version?

Yes. All the OEM S2000 ones are twin loop in the US.

Huh?
I thought ap1's were the non-cr which is the twin loop style..and the later 04+ ap2's were more of a straight through? Maybe I got mixed up lol.
I think the s2k sounds better than the 06+ civic si muffler. The civic one sounds a bit raspy in the video posted & thats not even revving it all the way. I think the S2k is what I'll go for!
