AMR coilovers

Has anyone attempted to disassemble them?
Im planning on cleaning them and I was wondering if i could remove the spring and everything else apart.

In addition, is it possible to order new bushing (rubber cover located beneath the springs) + spring from them?

Which coilovers do you have? the first version with double locking rings on the bottom or the new version with a single ring with a stud through it to tighten it together?

Nevertheless, yes you should be able to fully dismount the lower mount. Lower the bottom locking perch, take out the spring, take out the dust boot, clean/lube with silicone spray and reassemble.

As for bushings...not sure what rubber cover beneath the springs you're talking about unless you mean the dustboot...but yes you can order new springs. Will it be worth it costwise? Thats a whole different story.

So loosen the lower mount locking perch, remove the lower mount from the bottom; remove the lower mount locking perch, remove the tiny a$$ stud that you put your life value on(don't break it cause if you do you will have to travel all over toronto to find its size(don't ask me how i know)); remove the lower spring locking perch, remove the spring, dustboot and you're done and ready to get cleaning.

Is this way longer...YES. but it means you don't have to fudge with loosening the upper middle mount nut or messing with the top mount, plus you'll have to spin all the perches off either way.

Because I dropped $1200+ on AMR coilovers with hyperco springs not long ago...and i waited about 6 months for them...and broke that fawking screw when setting them up...and went around Toronto for 2 days trying to find replacements that were the same pitch and length...and asked AMR(Andy) to just make me two locking perches that lock against each other(like every other goddamn coilover) without that stupid cutout/screw ordeal that can rust to sh1t in our weather...and was called an idiot for caring about my safety even though I was willing to pay for the product and shipping...and i ended up selling them within about 1 week.

OP, yes you can easily disassemble them without a problem and put them back together (that's what I did to all my coilovers I had). Just make sure you mark or know where the lower mount was (so you can be at the same ride height, that's if you had them on your car) otherwise you might have to go for an alignment again.
