    I have 208k miles on my Auto Trans (V6 Sedan) and it's never had a problem. Knock on wood, of course. Maybe the key is that I flushed and re-filled the trans fluid at 75k, then drained and filled it again every 60k afterward.

    I've had a spec stage 2 in my dd since 2006. Never misses a beat. For 9psi boost, though, I'd go with a stage 3 as suggested above.

    Mine is also emitting said fumes after driving the car for a while. There was some sort of purge valve that made noise for years when car was sitting and it doesn't make that noise anymore...anyone know which part it is which makes that noise?? I want to replace it first.

    Have owned my '98 V6 sedan since 2001 and it has been a great car. My wife has been primary driver, but I will probably be taking over as I get her something newer. I've kept it stock until the recent addition of a K&N filter...finally. 203k miles and counting.
