Nice writeup!
Here is a really good video for a visual. I recently done this procedure with a brass hammer on a vice to remove the shaft and bearings. Works great!

Update:
Well I finally found the 2nd clutch switch and replaced it with a new one. Just in case anyone is looking to do the same, I will attach a picture of its location. If you lucky enough to unplug it without removing the rad hose, you can just slip in a 22mm socket to remove it. However...
Thanks Wheelman for the pictures. I attempt to search for it today but for the life of me I cannot find it!! I manage to only replace the 3rd gear one..:Boo:
Have you done it before? Or happen to know where the switch is? Its definitely not in the same place as the 7th gen. I was able to locate the 3rd gear but not the 4th.
Has anyone replaced the pressure sensor for our generation? I've been reading about it on V6P but I'm not sure if its applicable for our generation.
I was able to locate the 3rd gear under the battery but not sure where the 4th one is...
No pan gasket. RTV or whatever Honda uses. Read somewhere RTV black *correction GRAY RTV* was similar to what honda uses.
I believe you have to remove the J pipe in order to remove the oil pan for the v6.
bring it to the pros and let them check to see if you have any leaks or problems etc,
you cant diy A/C without the proper gear like a dual gauge manifold.
I used a 12v power supply when I was testing mine. Any 12V should be fine. Chances of frying something is slim. Your more likely to blow a fuse then anything. Your only applying it for like a second before your trunk pops. Anything metal can be ground.
not sure if our car has the same wiring or not but what your looking for is a wire that when 12v is applied, it will pop the trunk.
quick way to find out? apply 12v to the wire and see if it pops
right way? use a multimeter with the key fob but since you do not have this then
Alternative way...
