    New From Denver!

Welcome to the site! I just got back from a week in Denver, saw so many good-looking Accords there. (I had planned to drive mine but the Fusion has better A/C.)

    FS: 98 5 speed EX Sedan- $1200

I'd be sorely tempted if I hadn't just bought a very similar car. This seems like a better deal than I got, plus it's not often you get service records at that price point. At least, I didn't with mine. What kind of options does it have (Sunroof/wheels/radio etc)? Asking for a friend.

The Accord is back on the road with some fresh brake lines, and I have to remember how to drive a 5-speed again. :chewie: After spending a month riding/driving in the Fusion I'm happy to get back to real knobs and buttons for the controls, but I'll have to get used to taking it easier on the...

    Replacing rear brake lines

The new copper-nickel line is bled, and the pedal is very firm. I used an old drill chuck as a guide to bend the tubing and managed to avoid kinks, following the old tubing as a template and taking care to keep the line up away from the exhaust shield. Took a very short test drive and checked...

    Replacing rear brake lines

Never mind, I ground down a box wrench and it worked for one of the bracket bolts. The other one was stuck tight, even with penetrating oil, so I bent the line until it broke and removed it that way. The rest should be pretty straightforward as long as I don't wreck the new line putting it in...

    RR's 2014 ATS 6spd 2.0T

Sweet! A mesh grill can really change the character of a car, and it's a good look for that one.

Thanks! I hadn't planned to mod the car at all when I bought it because it was the "nice car" in the family, but my wife got a much nicer car in April so now I'm free to mod away. :147703263745b138a51 I'd like to tint the windows and clean up the rims to start, and maybe try to reduce the glare...

    Replacing rear brake lines

I'm unfortunately still working on this project, since I'm way too patient with this kind of thing. I had been hung up on trying to keep the original rear few feet of the lines with unions, but have been struggling with flaring the lines under the car (and it seems like it would be kind of a...

    Replacing rear brake lines

Thanks for the advice everyone! I was finally able to get out in the garage tonight and got the plastic cover off of the fuel and brake lines. I realized it doesn't matter which brake line is leaking, because both lines had significant rust at every point where they clipped into the plastic...

Speaking of choosing good reliable parts... I found the real issue with the brake indicator light, it was the obvious reason after all. I've created a new thread with questions about replacing the lines so I don't hijack my own introduction thread. I think I'm pretty much as introduced as...

    Replacing rear brake lines

Pulling into the driveway on Tues evening the brake pedal started feeling very soft. I was still able to stop, barely, and when I checked the reservoir it was way down. I looked under the car and saw a fresh stain of a few drops of brake fluid, and when I felt around the plastic rack under the...

I had bought a set of Moog front sway bushings on RockAuto that turned out to be only 23mm, then had to return them to get a set of 26.5mm. I didn't think of looking on eBay or Amazon though. I had a bit of a hard time trying to figure out what size I needed since most information I've found...

In search of a new ride

Scratching does sound like it might be brake-related, possibly a stuck caliper? I don't know much about Honda brakes specifically, but I once had a sheared slide bolt on the Saturn which allowed the caliper assembly to swing out and contact the inside of the wheel sometimes, resulting in a...

Thanks! I don't see a lot of them around town that aren't tan, so I was glad to find one in blue. I'm still getting used to driving a manual again, I had one two cars ago but it's been about five years. So far I'm loving it, and very importantly my wife approves. I've had kind of a...

Some pictures from just after I bought the car. I've since fixed the license plate, the bolt is sheared off. It's really clean for an 18-year-old WI car. CarFax says I'm the third owner, and it's been in the Fox Valley area its whole life.
