yea the subs will be getting upgraded in the future. For now since I have the subs, I'll power them with an amp that can be used later when i upgrade the subs too.
I only have those ****ty subs that handle barely any power lol. So for now I'm gonna be running at 2 ohm most likely depending on which amp I decide to go with (I have a couple finalists lol). But later on Im deff gonna upgrade the subs and we'll see then where I want to go with the whole thing.
ill prolly go with some sort of mutli meter. They're like 10 bucks and being a noob, the last thing I want is to just mess around and **** something up lol.
Eggy man u seem to answer all my questions and predict everything I plan on doing lol. But tell me why would u set the amp so high at 300? thats about 100 over the combined rms wattage of the 2 subs? Won't I have to worry about the subs blowing or clipping?
I have one more question for you guys. I'm gonna wire my 2 subs parallel to the mono sub. So since they are both SVC 4ohm then the amp will treat them as 2 ohm correct? Now do I power the amp down to around 100w (the rms wattage of each sub) or do I combine the power of the 2 subs and power the...
Yea I am a noob and plan on running a system and researching more before i start spending big money on something that's really gonna bump. I'm sure I'm gonna wana build up my system in the long run but for now, I already have the subs and wiring so i just wana pick up an amp that will be...
Like I said, I'm a noob at sound and picked these up for free from a buddy who didnt really know **** about them but I found some info on the web on these, and this is the actual sub

yeah i was considering gettin like a nice mono amp with a solid power capacity like 300-400w rms and I'm almost sure I'm gonna want more later so then I would have an amp to handle more power and would just have to purchase the new woofer(s).
I saw this on Ebay, from what ive been researching...
The impedance is 4 ohms and its so hard to find a mono amp with such low capacity as 100 or even close, the lowest ive been able to find is like 300w RMS. If I run an amp of that size low enough as to not blow the subs, won't there be long term damage done to amp? That's what ive been told.
I...
I would like to not go over 100, if possible. If you recommend something above my budget, still please let me know so I can consider rethinking my approach. As I said before, I'm a noob and don't know everything needed.
