    Does anybody know if you can buy the T5 chip separately from the key if all we need is the transponder? I bought 2 switchblade cases and am having my local automotive locksmith cut them for me ue to it being significantly cheaper then going to the dealer. The switchblades don't come with te T5...

    great write up and i just ordered mine. going to try and have local locksmith cut it because the dealer wants to charge me $45 to cut it and $105 to program the chip. luckily i found out i have a chipped spare key.
