I've tried. It's become especially difficult now that they created a separate group to house the FS posts. It appears that only 5% of the regular group's members have joined the new FS group.
Yes, please don't place HIDs in your stock halogen housings. You'll blind oncoming traffic and actually have less light output available for you to use. Either get a projector retrofit or an LED bulb upgrade.

I vote no Lamin-X. That stuff is garbage. It dries out no matter how many times you condition it with UV protectant. It's been known to craze plastic lighting assemblies to boot.
Should work no problem. Word of advice, if the LED doesn't work right away, flip it 180°. They only work when the current flows in the correct direction.

I had one unit try to fry one of the brand new knob replacements. The underlying metal potentiometer was burning hot! Didn't even try to fix that one.
I lost a caliper bolt on my Miata on the freeway. When I would brake hard enough the caliper would tilt up and engage the inner barrel of the wheel. At low speeds it would completely lock up.
Luckily it was in the front and I slowly made it home using the emergency brake.
