I found a staggered set of TE37s 18x8.5+22 front and 18x9.5+33 rear. They are currently wrapped in 245/35 and I would replace them with 225/40/18 tires.

Any safety issues with this setup? I drive 100km (~65 miles) five times a month each direction on the highway to my contract job. Someone was telling me that the stretch for the rear is unsafe

So they would be around half an inch less of poke. Pretty flush.
