Knock sensor

Hi I have a 99 Honda Accord lx 2.3l vtec I had replaced my head gasket and in the process of doing that my knock sensor broke my car was surging while idleing even while driving my car is a 5 spd manual in first gear driving down driveway it speeds it's self up and slows itself down without me touching any pedals well I replaced the knock sensor it's still doing the same thing I erased the code and it keeps coming back what can I do to fix this it's driving me crazy any help would be greatly appreciated plz and thank you

Are you sure the wiring is still completely intact and/or not frayed somewhere under the black plastic sheath the wiring is under leading away from the sensor?

Air pocket in the coolant. Burp the system again
