I got a p1381 cyp sensor intermittent. I replaced the dizzy with a used one. Code stayed off long enough to pass emissions. Someone said make sure I have a spark shield under my rotor. What is a spark shield? It's a f23a4 motor. Could it be I got a faulty dizzy? I just find it odd I have the same code on 2 different dizzys

I saw online to ohm check 2 terminals on the connector and i had .804 than I check for continuity between same 2 termams and housing and there was none so I'm guessing that means my distributor is good. Someone also said my alternator could be bad?

I would check the cylinder position sensor and the wiring also.

The cyp sensor is built into the distributor

I ended up having to replace the battery and I did the alternator too and I toomit on a 100 Mile road trip no issues
