Hey guys. Had the F23A5 in my 2001 Accord, motor blew a hose while mother in law was driving it. She drove and overheated it.. Ive put a new (to me) F23A4 Vtec ULEV motor in and it ran fine on the F23A5 ECU. Now i want the VTEC working so its fully drivable.
I will have questions but i just wanted to post this up for now.
After the swap i have these codes... This should be easily fixed next ill be swapping some wires around on the ECU. Hopefully its fairly straight forward.....
1259 O2 heater circuit
1166 O2 heater circuit
1167 VTEC system malfunction (VTEC not wired in yet)
These could be unrelated
0700 TCM detected a malfunction with the transmission controls
1738 Automatic Transmission 3rd clutch pressure switch
Attached are pics of the ECU pinout locations for the F23A4 VS the F23A5. If this has been covered in detail i would love more info!
