I'm new here and am thinking of building a Franken J engine for my 2000 Accord Coupe. It is currently an F23 with a manual. Will the J engine bolt to the trans without serious mods or fab? I would like it to remain manual. I'd likely be going about this by either purchasing a donor car or by gathering necessary parts from salvage yards. I'm sure there are manual transmissions specifically for the J engines but I have seen very few.

J motor will not bolt to F trans, you'll need a 6spd manual from a 2003 Acura CL Type-S, 7G AV6, or 3G Acura TL. Lots of info here and on V6performance.net if it is still around, give it a search.

I've looked into the 6 speed. They're scarce and ridiculously expensive. Maybe I'll just boost the F23 as per my original plan. Thank you for the info.
