quick update, finally had time to get both cars side by side in garage. so far dropped the 4cyl subframe, cross member, knuckles, front suspension, brakes and power steering rack. Need to do same on cls, then reinstall on the accord. Have not yet removed the ac lines from accord, but that needs to go as well.

cls crossmember and subframe bolted up nicely on the 4cyl accord body. removed the accord ac lines, compressor and condensor. started putting the cls front suspension and brakes on. 5 lug knuckles and brakes have been on before so it's no big thing.

test fit with eng on front and rear mount only. btw, the innovative bracket was a clear no go. looks like i will be drilling the spot welds, then trying to transfer over the cls wheelhousing or a part of it.

Small update over this long weekend. Cut the 4cyl psgr side bracket off the 6GA. Removed the spot welds holding the piece of CLS wheel housing. Wasn't too bad using a spot weld cutter and a chisel. Also relocated the ABS unit and brake hardlines. Need to clean off some of the sealant on the 6GA. Plan to put the motor back in to verify the position of the mount before re-welding.

With the relocated ABS unit, I can cut the hole needed for the CAI. Which is conveniently stamped on the body.

Gee whiz info, the cls 6mt has slightly different shift cables and shifter vs 6GA 5MT. Obviously that needs to change too.

older NSX shift knob matches the CLS. That's what I used to replace worn out cls knob

Found it. I think this one shows some of the techniques for making mounts and brackets

nice... my dad used to have a 56 ford f100 with a 351 windsor. fortunately I don't think custom will be necessary.

Spent lot of time yesterday and today with ecu wiring. what a mess that is... :whymewhyme: Also re-set the motor on 3 mounts and laid some quick welds to transferred bracket. set the rl manifold on top and test fit the rear header. rear bracket touches the manifold just a tad. plan to notch the bracket.
Anyways here's a pic.. yes, I wrote oil out... lol

Can you please elaborate on what all you did wiring wise? Good idea on the no oil reminder.

Everything is looking good. Though, I must say that it would look so much better if you had a transmission with my gears in it! -- Or even any transmission at all for that matter! haha

Oh dang, I didn't even see that you'd posted before. Here's a pic that shows different "shift levers" (Honda's name for it) The factory shift cable stay on the transmission has 3 locations (or 'slots') that the shift cables can go into, yet only two are used. Dependent upon which of these is installed in the transmission determines which of the 'slots' the shift cables go into.

The two on the left are overseas variants.
Middle right is all of the J-series except for the 2003 CL-S 6MT.
Far right is 2003 CL-S 6MT.

The select lever (not pictured) comes from the side to side motion in the shifter, and these shift levers are from the forwards and backwards motion of the shifters. Is the difference between the Accord shifter vs the CL-S shifter such that a forward motion of one pulls the cable, whereas the forward motion of the other shifter pushes the cable and vice versa? (sorry if my wording is confusing here)

When I'm building transmissions and if I don't get this correct, it can result in someone having a backwards shift pattern

Also, FWIW, here's a URL to the $12 "Chaiwan" version of the FK8 shift knob (54102-TGH-A00). I love mine. Check out my amazon review lol
