Trunk lid struts?

anybody ever done anything like this with trunk struts im trying to mock it up but cant make it fit without making a separate bracket

Is the car missing trunk springs, or are you just trying to do something different? I wonder about putting hardware in the water drain channels, might block them up too much.

So im planning a nice sub setup but the rear deck being metal its gonna rattle like crazy and its possible to remove it but the torsion bars and hinges connect to it only so im tryna remove them completely but wouldnt be able to get in the trunk but the trunk struts /supports cane off a 5th gen i think it was
