BAXA MAXA Transmission Firmware Source Code Anyone?

The shift points and grade control in the ECU aren't that bad really, it's the mechanical shortcomings of the transmissions that cause the lack luster performance. That and the gearing.

swapping the F23A5 to a JDM F23A Help!

The Hitachi distributors from the US A1 models use an internal coil as well. The only other difference I can think of is that the JDM F23A1 didn't use a separate crank sensor, right?

How To: H23A/H22/F20B Temperature Gauge for 2000-2002 models

Solder the chip in place of the original one and your mileage info will be transferred to the new (older) cluster Not much to it really, hit me up if you have any questions though.

How To: H23A/H22/F20B Temperature Gauge for 2000-2002 models

Sorry for the delay, I completely forgot about this. Here is what I did to transfer the odometer info from my original cluster to the new one Once you have the cluster apart locate the eprom chip on the PCB that contains the info. On the 99 cluster it's to the left of the LCD read out. I...

Hondata and the Temp Gauge 2001 Accord

The 00-02 coolant gauge pins are in a different position from the 98-99, they won't work in each other.

How To: H23A/H22/F20B Temperature Gauge for 2000-2002 models

No it won't mess with the immobilizer. The mileage and trip data are stored on a little pdip-8 eeprom chip on the cluster PCB. You can swap that chip to your new cluster to keep the mileage info with the car. I'll post some pics in a bit

How To: H23A/H22/F20B Temperature Gauge for 2000-2002 models

Yeah I just saw that but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to edit my post to fix them. Here is the shared album with the pics in it, hopefully that works https://photos.app.goo.gl/sZQzascCZ1oEmBC67

Hondata and the Temp Gauge 2001 Accord

lol it doesn't happen often on forums anymore. Yep, need a 99 or 98 cluster and run a wire from the thermo sensor directly to the cluster. You can add the thermo sensor if your head doesn't have it, I made a post on how I wired mine up for my H23A swap here

    H23 Dizzy

For an H23A? It comes with a TEC TD-94U stock and from what I've found on different forums a TD-73U (99-00 Civic EX, DX or CX) will bolt up and work in it's place. If you are going OBD1 a TD-61U from a 92-96 Prelude SI VTEC will work

New PS line for H23a swap

Since I'm swapping a H23A into my 02' SE and planned on keeping power steering I had to have a new PS line built for it. I actually got a PS pump from H22A7 with the bracket and line end still attached (hose was cut off by the importer) on FB marketplace for cheap. So I took the fitting that...

Hey Serga, would you happen to have the complete 6th gen SiR service manual? I have a scan of the ECU pin out in Russian for the PCF and PCB but need some more info from that manual.

    Coolant gauge issue

If that's what you have now and are trying to replace, yep. The mounting pins on the cluster are different for the 98-99 compared to the 00-02. This is a 99 This is an 02

    Coolant gauge issue

The only gauge that's different, that I'm aware of, is the temp gauge. 98-99 are the same, 00-02 are the same.

    Coolant gauge issue

Once you have the cover and shroud off of the cluster and you have access to the gauge faces, flip it over and bend the tabs that hold the gauges to the circuit board so they are straight up. Then use a screwdriver in the hole between those tabs to push on the back side of the gauges. Do it a...

    Coolant gauge issue

Sorry man, no email notifications from this thread I guess. From the outside I'm not sure there is a way to tell the difference between a 98 or 99 vs 00-02. You've already taken them apart at this point though so I'm sure you've noticed the difference. You also noticed that it's best to swap...

    Coolant gauge issue

Maybe? The gauge is just copper coils and a magnet with resistors attached to the poles. It's hard to say what the issue is though, I would look at the caps in the ECU and on the gauge cluster board. They are almost 20 years old now and could be failing. Just a guess though

    Coolant gauge issue

What year? The 98-99 are fed from the thermo sensor under the distributor. The 2000-02 are driven by the ECU. It sounds like the gauge is just going out though, they are pretty easy to replace if that's the case.

How To: H23A/H22/F20B Temperature Gauge for 2000-2002 models

This seems to be a commonly asked question so I thought I would write up what I've learned The 00'-02' model F23A Accords use a different circuit and gauge type for the temperature gauge in the cluster. For whatever reason, Honda decided that the ECU should be responsible for driving the temp...

Hondata and the Temp Gauge 2001 Accord

Yep, see SergA'a post above. You'll need a 98 or 99 gauge cluster. Run a single wire from the single connector sending unit on the side of the head (under the distributor) to the C2 connector on the gauge cluster. This sensor Connects to this wire - C2 (Yellow/Grn Stripe)

    Stripped out head bolts

Are the threads in the block okay? Don't use loctite on the headbolts! You actually need to lightly coat the threads of the bolts with motor oil before torqueing them down. If you torque the head back down in the proper sequence and to spec you will be fine as long as everything is level. What...
