    Rear glass replacement for coupe

I have an '01 Coupe. A brnach fell out of a tree and took out the rear window. It dinged the C pillar pretty good as well, but I don't think it would affect the seal on a new window. How difficult/expensive is this? Is it a DIY job or better left to a glass shop?

The Difference Between Horsepower and Torque

Being a recent owner of a TDI Sportwagen, I must say I have become a big fan of torque. Just love the way it pulls hills without a downshift.

    Clutch problem

Finally got around to digging into this thing. I have removed the slave and it is frozen solid. Pulled the boot off and nothing but ugly brown rust sludge. With it disconnected the pedal moves freely. AZ has it in stock, 45 bucks. I can get it for 20 bucks through Amazon, but some of the...

    What's the difference?

I assume that duraluminum is some aluminum alloy. So it save you maybe a few ounces of unsprung weight. Woopty do. And you have to deal with the chance that it will seize or crossthread. No thanks. Go with steel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Clutch problem

'01 EX Coupe, 4 cylinder Bought this car earlier this year. Has been sitting in my yard about 6 months. Started. moved around a few times. The last time I started it, a few weeks ago, when I lifted off the clutch pedal, it stayed at the floor. Gave it a few pumps and it came up fine. I...

Well, I still haven't gotten this thing to the body shop and now I have a new issue. I got in it to move/run it for a bit. When I attempted to push the clutch in I was met with a great deal of resistance. So much that I had to push with all I had to get the clutch switch to make to allow me to...

Not sure what the insurance co. paid the kid or what he had to give to get it back, but it really puzzles me that he didn't spend the 500 bucks to get it back on the road, considering what he put into it. It was kind of interesting that Kevin, the body shop guy specified getting it back to an...

Good news. I talked to the body shop guy. Showed him a pic. He says he can throw it on the rack and stretch it back into place. Says it won't be an "insurance job" meaning indistinguishable from new, but it'll be plenty good enough to get it through inspection. He guesstimated 350-400 bucks. I...

So, the "frame" rails are a bit tweaked. This was obvious once I pulled the loose sound deadening material off in the trunk. It is certainly fixable, the question is, is it fixable by me to the point of satisfying the state rebuilt title fairy. I am going to go to a local mechanic/body shop guy...

Well, I got it home yesterday. It drove just fine. No odd noises other than the warped rear rotor. I have the replacement rotors sitting in the car. Thinks were a little more bent up than I had thought, but assuming it gets the blessing of the state inspectors, I am not too worried. Funny how...

as best I can tell the frame is perfect. rear quarters are completely untouched. the rear bumper which is just sheetmetal to start with, was rusty. it crumpled into the trunk spare tire well without putting up much of a fight. The wheel well pushed in a bit, but i think it will tap back out...

I simply do not get the abandonment of MTs that seems to be going on today. Especially when they shift as sweetly as a Honda. They can have my manual shifter when they pry it from my cold dead hand! I am happy to say that my current fleet is 75% MT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would think your left coast stuff would be OK. Yeah, it rains all the time but assuming you stay out of the mountains, I would think you could find older cars that haven't been raped by salt. Gotta be pretty bad in Ontario though. It's PA but colder. I'll bet your rust has rust.

Yes, I agree. He put a lot of time and money into it. Maybe he decided that a 6GA wasn't his cup of tea and is taking this opportunity to go in a different direction. Oh well. His loss, my gain.

This was the CL add listing what was done. Hard to find 2 door coupe-this car was recently in a rear end collision accident. The car required more work than the ins.co would pay for. The title is now a salvage(which I have) due to this incident. This is a car that can be repaired. It was driven...

Just bought an '01 EX Coupe 5 speed, 4 cylinder. Wasn't really looking for an Accord. I was actually looking for something in a hatchback/wagon as it would suit my needs best. My needs are...... Comfortable highway cruiser Better than 30 mpg highway Plenty of room for tools/parts...

    Taller 5th gear

I am the new owner of an 01 EX Coupe, 5 speed. Car has a new performance header/exhaust system, but other than that is bone stock 4 cylinder. Not really looking to do any further mods, maybe a very mild turbo someday that wouldn't require getting into the engine. For now, this thing needs to...
