    Hi 6th gen, i have a 99 accord sedan with roughly 188,xxx. My transmission just went out and i got a CEL and the shops say it could be a solenoid. My question is, could it be the shift lock or the linear or even both. Could this fix my transmission from not shifting into gear or hard shifting...

    yes, my main question was if i could take a tranny from a prelude and bolt it right up to my accord. if it rounds nearly to the same price to keep a f23 tranny i mind as well do a full h series swap with a 5 speed.

    For automatic. I would rather buy a whole new car than go through the process of doing a 5spd swap. Being a student I don't have much to spare.

    Since you're answering my question about the h series. What would I need? Its hard to find a 6gen around here. I see a lot of preludes that's why I ask, because they are almost identical.

    thanks for the heads up guys. could you give me a write up on what i need for a 5 spd swap? funny, i dont want the girlfriend to crash the car. who cares though, it would be more fun. finding the parts would be the hard part, i live in minnesota.
