I tried rebuilding my trans, somethings wrong...

So I just finished rebuilding the transmission (MAXA) by myself. I thought I did well, I guess not, I have no clue. I ran it for a little bit in the air, but things felt horrible when I tried to take it into gear. When I put it into reverse, it feels like there is a terrible wobble, right after...

    Auto Trans Rebuild Concerns

I’m doing my first rebuild. When removing the 3 nuts from the main gear shafts, I confused which one was left hand threaded. So basically I torqued all of them down instead of unscrewing them. My impact gun goes up to 700 ft-lb…. I turned each nut about 15-30 degrees. Should I be concerned I may...

    Tranny Problems..

It started when I was driving all day, I made a stop, and turned off the engine. Three minutes later I got back to my car and drove off, instantly I had problems. It seemed like (I’m am no expert in automatic trannys) when it was shifting, it disengaged the first gear and wouldn’t engage the...

New upper control arm bushing squeak!

So two years ago I replaced my upper control arms for some cheap ones of TASAUTO. They worked alright for a few weeks and started squeaking really bad. I put up with it. This summer I couldn't stand it anymore and purchased MOOG aftermarket UCA's. It was quiet for two weeks... First the...

    ECM swap advice

P1607 is the CEL I receive on really cold days. From what I read It means I need a new ECM. I have a F23A1 EX SEDAN. Im assuming getting an ECM from a COUPE shouldn't cause problems so long as its same engine and trans? An ECM from a F23A4 is no go? What other factors should I look...

    Keyless entry problems

I was wondering if anyone had some insight on what could be the faulty part. Wanted to have some clue before digging in and stripping of the door panels. So when I press lock or unlock, all the doors will make a sound as if they were attempting follow the command yet they are all stuck. same...

Are my struts bad? or something else

The one thing i did fail to mention is that the rubber boot around the strut is damaged. I can see the inside of the strut, the boot basically hangs there. I left this out because honestly its been like this for sometime, and i wanted to see if the problem could be something else because i...

    ignition timing

long story... mainly because i just switch the timing belt. and before i took the old belt of i left pen/marks so i can put it all back together the way i found it. but these marks as i found out actually didn't line up with the actual marks/ notches on the engine it self. i decide to do it...

Timing Belt and Water Pump chage problem...

haha i had it lifted like 1 cm up, i didn't expect it to shoot out so much. my belt is fine tho most of the oil went on the other side. so do you think that's the only thing that would cause this lack of response?

Timing Belt and Water Pump chage problem...

yay! so i finished =) everything is aligned, tensioned and well. its great driving normally, but it feels as if when i drive aggressively, it feels less responsive. the rpms take time to get up there, and starts feel slower. then again i haven't driven in a while so its all maybe just a...

I'll take a look at it but will most likely switch it this summer anyway. So, i should strictly use Unitta or would the ContiTech be fine? http://www.statracing.com/oem-replacement/wizard.asp?eng=F23A1,4&cha=CG___&year=1999&make=HO&model=ACC-EX4-003&category=A&part=Timing+Belt+Kit
