I just tried to remount the transmission again last night (that rear dowel pin is lots of fun to line up when on your back under the car by the way) and as soon as I tighten any of the bellhousing bolts the torque converter is pressed against the flex plate! Appreciated. I was surprised it was only 2 clunks as most transmissions I have worked on have 3 AND I thought the converter would sit just a bit deeper.- freudie1

Installing a reman'd BAXA (2000 Accord 2.3) with a reman'd torque converter. Bolt the transmission to the block and noticed the torque converter and flexplate are very tight.
