    his may have already been cut out or something, i dont know how he violated physics otherwise...cause the stock front baskets will not accept 2" depth speakers without being cut. spacing it any further than 3/4" will run into door panel issues.

    you will need to either buy, make, or modify the front speaker spacers to make them fit. dont know about the rears, they're unneeded. amazon always lists the box dimensions, why not post the speaker dimensions from pioneers site? :lawl:

    new actuator as in...brand new, straight from honda? it's 100% for the LED, unless they unplugged the existing harness from the car, then swapped in a candian one which has a switch for heated mirrors. but how would they get a canadian harness anyway? :lawl:

    theres an unused grommet west-southwest of the brake master cylinder... THE cleanest way to do it would be to run it under the intake manifold (4cyl) after covering it with black/carbon techflex to prevent rubs/cuts to the insulation. but theres not a lot of stuff to secure it to under there...

    how did you verify they dont flop around? ace ventura'd it out the window at 70? open the door on the highway? someone drive next to you? the sideskirts are fairly stiff ABS, but i can only wonder what happens when the (missing) leading edge catches a breeze.

    if you're going to overpower them, make sure the highpass is set (and set correctly) and be positive about your gain setting with relation to maximum volume on the headunit. the only ways to smoke speakers is by playing them outside their intended passbands for too long, or by overpowering...

    the E38s were never, ever meant to be cheap cars. the parts will never get cheaper. they (and other flagships) had technology in them that few/no other cars received until years later, which led to further issues. these are the cars the original owners dropped off at the dealership and came back...

    its not the alternator for two main reasons: 1. it has nothing to do with starting the car 2. cars can run for a few minutes off the battery before dying if the alternator goes bad and a bonus third reason, just for this situation: 3. that you jumped it, drove it, parked it, and restarted it...

    the crossovers will work with any amp, since they're designed to protect the speakers. run the highpass (HPF) on the amp at about 80Hz.

    its probably still under warranty...get a replacement. even the $45 house specials have a year warranty... since it starts after a jump and a drive, but then won't start much later, the alternator is still making juice.

    the TR set is older, i think. there's no external crossover so there's probably just a cap on the tweeter and no lowpass for the mid. the CS set has a better crossover so they'll probably sound better...
