    Thanks guys! Lovin' the new car! That's a pretty darn good price. Usually I'd always say go for the 09 at least, but for that price you could get the 08 and throw the VF52 on for about a grand to get the power you're missing, and still come out ahead price-wise.

    Mirror lens. Piece of crap. Wouldn't even use it if it was free. On the other hand the 75-300's are probably Canon's WORST lenses. I'd say neither of those are worth the money ...at all. Get the 55-250 IS or get nothing, IMO. Just crop.

    Better? Maybe not. Better value? Definitely. The 28mm wide end is a complete waste on a crop (IMO). And it costs 3x as much for lower image quality. IS and USM and added reach are nice, but if you want a general purpose lens that is sharp, I'd save my money and get the 18-55 IS. :)

    Solid lens. This would be my preference. From best to worst: 17-55 2.8 IS 15-85 17-85 18-55 IS 28-135 IS But for $100 you really can't beat the 18-55 IS. Great sharpness and very useful. If you want to spend 3x as much, get the 17-85.

    The iPhone and BB Storm (and maybe others) have apps that use the phone's integrated accelerometers to determine your acceleration. The are not perfect, but for the few dollars that they cost, they are a fun novelty and "accurate enough".

    T2i looks to be a GREAT value. It has nearly the same feature set as the 7D, for $1000 less. If you don't need the higher frame rate, more rugged build, or more ergonomic body layout, it's a very good option. It is quite a jump over the T1i that you would have paid the same for last year...

    Well, I already have one, so I'd have sold it without hesitation :) I have two 580 EX II's and I love them. I hate the plastic mount on the older ones. I have the 17-55 2.8 IS and I love that too. It's the go-to lens on a crop body.
