    Noob Intake help?!

In the mean time till you get your mounts on, you can put a piece of foam insulation (to keep pipes from sweating) around the a/c line. Eventually it will wear out, but at least it will keep the lines and intake from wearing through for now.

    new to the 6th gen

Welcome, cool people on here. Brooklyn? I slept in my car with a friend of mine on Flatbush for 3 days my junior year of high school. It was crazy (mostly the driving). I couldn't afford to pay the tolls to get out of the city so I tried to pawn my camcorder to a few shops on that strip there...

    Belt tension ?

I got the belt tension like this- Tightened the belt (all bolts to spec) just enough to where it would squeal (with out revving). Turned it off quickly. Loosened all bolts and put one full rotation (clockwise) on bolt to tighten the belt. Re-tightened all bolts to spec. Revved engine to...

    Belt tension ?

(00 Accord ex sedan)- I'm putting the alternator belt back on and don't know how much tension to put on. My manual says- (Using a fisherman's scale) 22 lbs applied at 90* in middle of belt (a/c to alt), (amount of deflection in belt) new: 3/16''-1/4'' used: 5/16''- 3/8''. (Same application...

    Deleted my powersteering (pics)

I'm on stockies right now. I didn't want to go the Home Depot route but the parts shop fittings were near impossible to get in the lines. (brass)- I used one 1/2'' x 1/2'' elbow (had to file it down a bit to fit). One 1/2'' to 3/4'' straight line coupling (fit like a glove). And about 6x 7/16''...

    Deleted my powersteering (pics)

(check this thread)- http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6119&highlight=removing+power+steering I would have put together a more comprehensive DIY but I didn't want to "steer" anyone in the wrong direction and be held some-what liable (ie- correct fittings on fuel lines etc.)...

    Deleted my powersteering (pics)

My power steering set up (00 Accord ex sedan). I haven't gotten it on the road yet. Just by taking off the belt and leaving pump attached, this is what I noticed- Tires feel 1'' wider Throttle feels 1' closer to my hand Energy spent compensating for power steering corrections, 50% less Power...

    What is this? (Noobery)

But what I'm wondering is, will it affect anything (if removed) like bolt's loosening up or something like that? I can see it now, the one part on my car that's been minding it's own business for the last 140K... I take it off, and 20 miles later wondering what the f*** is wrong with my car now...

    some ugly white coupe

You have a good eye for settings and over tones, if that would be the appropriate phrase. I have 10x the respect for those that take (35mm?) photos. Seems like it's a dying art. My Lumix, don't fail me now!

    What's up all?

Thanks, I'd be glad to put up a diy of making door handles. The only thing is that there are about a gazillion steps to it. I could put up the rough steps to it. It would be a lot easier to do if you have a dial indicator. It's not that difficult to do with basic knowledge of fabrication. It's...

Problem when blacking out tail lights

I've heard the best way to smoke out your tail lights is to start with clear coat and add drops of black to it, till desired opacity (single stage painting). Mix it up and shoot it with a spray gun. I haven't tried it but the clear coat would be superior in terms of durability. Then you could...

Has this ever happened to any of you?

You can get a rubber eraser from an autobody store that hooks up to a drill for removing the residue. Be careful with it though as it can take the CC right off.
