    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

He responed..lol, an basically told me to bid. I couldnt take it anymore, and Xenocron assured me that his Ecu will work and he had the Euro-r tune, so I said, what the heck

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

The Motor is here :peace: , it was dropped off around 11:30. It was a little dirtier than I expected but its nothing a little simple green an spit shine cant handle. Looks a litte better in person. I ordered a chipped auto ecu from Xenocron.com which will be uploaded with the jdm Euro-R tune...

    Rebirth of G23

its the same motor, ports and cam definition are the same, the only difference is that the f22b has a 85mm bore and the h23 has a 87mm bore, with the same stroke.

    curse of the G

I was probably the closest to finishing, on this site, had damn near every last item and then some. I was just basically waiting for the swap date, and BAAM, blew the motor. All that money, time and research invested....GONE. But, Sonnick will pick up were I left off, and I know he will do it...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

Not saying auto is the way to go, but Ive seen auto h22 ludes pull 15.3-15.5 1/4's, with only boltons. S**t, one guy pulled 15 flat. Which all is faster than 95% of manual f23 accords. JDM h22's run stronger than UDSM motors. Seeing that most auto ludes are ragged out, without proper...

    Rebirth of G23

Thats NOT good numbers for a jdm type-s. Sounds like it needs some tuning or maintenence one. Try this one for size, Sonnick made 156 hp with a near stock f23. If he were to do a G23 build with a set of cams, 20+ hp is easily achieved with mild tuning. Ofcourse this is all...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

Remeber, all these auto trannys are the SAME. F22/h23/f23/h22 auto are the same, the difference is the shift points via TCU (transmission control unit). Thats why the p19 tcu is used for the h22 motor, it allows you to pull to 8k and stay in vtec during each shift. Its not like the manuals in...

    f23 with h22 head??

Alright, honestly, you really ought to get the hybrid running FIRST, then think about boost later. Because with that t4, you can easily blow that motor, especially with a mediocre tune. Those stock rod bearings are not going to be able to take the stress of that t4 at 6800 rpm constantly. Sure...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

I will be using the f23 auto transmission now, because the insurance didnt give me enough to swap to stick..lol. But anyway, I have a jdm p13 auto ecu along with the jdm p19 TCU (transmission control), via an auto obd2b-obd1 conversion harness. The tcu will allow me to pull to 8k, and the p13...

    f23 with h22 head??

A boosted G23-vtec has potential to be sick, but.......hybrid'ing and boosting at the same time could have issues. You want to make sure that your G23vtec is dynamically sound, in that you replaced all gaskets, seals, and timing belt. I would suggest running a Phodellic (i think i spelled that...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

I bought a obd1 motor. Its a JDM BB4 H22a with 44k miles. I already have a obd2b-obd1 conversion harness, so I will use that. The driver side mount will be modified to fit. Motor will be here Wednesday, swap will start Thursday.

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

As many of you remember I was doing the G23 swap this spring break, when I suddenly blew my motor due to hydrolock. My G23 setup is for sale, pm if you want a quote. Since the insurance was paying for a new motor, I decided to go H22. I just ordered the motor today from JDMaddiction for $1140...

    Conversion

I never said he 'Needed' the h23 injectors, only that most people dont think to swap em out for the f23's. Its not a headache in wiring either. You can get cheap 10watt 10ohm inline resistors resistor blocks from Radio Shack if need be, cut each wire (one at a time) strip the wire back and...

    Conversion

Well, BadgerType there you are. S-spec is the injector guy, so go with what he says. Seeing that if you WERE to change to a H23 manifold, it would ALREADY have injectors with it, being that MOST people wont put their old f23 injectors in that IM. That being the case, he will NEED a resistor box.

    Conversion

i have the conversion for the auto obd2b-obd1. It will cost you roughly around $450 bucks to fully complete it. A pic of my harness with ecu and tcu are on my g23 thread, along with info. If you use a obd1 IM, you will need injector resistors. But the harness, Ecu and tcu (transmission control...

    Cammed!! G23 NonVtec build-in progress

Alright guys....we took apart the motor today to find that 2 rods are bent, a hole in the block and bent valves. Basically the motor is FULLY blown :( , and there is no salvaging it. I hate to dissapoint yall, but iam swaping to full H22, using the money from the insurance. I will prob be...

    h23 intake

Sorry, but the H23 head does need to be plugged for the f23 block. The f22a waterpipe is need also. Since you have a complete h23 motor, u have all the rest of the misc. items you will need. If you are staying obd2 get a obd2b P14. Also the h23 IM does fit the f23s bolt pattern, but the ports...

    Cammed!! G23 NonVtec build-in progress

S-spec does have a point. Me and my friend skirtech (technician) were talking last night about potential block damage that this inccident could have caused , since there is no way of knowing until you see it. We made the assumption of the valves on at the spur of the moment. So tommorrow we are...

    Cammed!! G23 NonVtec build-in progress

Decision made.......................Iam going with the hybrid now. I was going to go to Fl to let Carlos do it, but since i cant get there, I have a honda technician friend in town that has taken the task of doing it. He has unlimited knowledge about honda's wiring system and has performed many...

    Cammed!! G23 NonVtec build-in progress

Guys, i have horrible news. I was driving home today and my timing belt snapped and bent all my valves :furious: . Yesterday it was raining hard and my CAI picked up water really bad and the engine took awhile to dry and start. Once it did start it was a horrible clacking noise (valves). I drove...

    Fellow F series..

rod/stroke ratio is a factor, but the 97mm stroke isnt a weak point. The k24 has a 99mm stroke and an 86mm bore, and they rev to 7500, no problem. Why, because it was mated with a good flowing head and decent compression. True, the rods arent the best and neither are the bearings, but...

    Fellow F series..

Not absolutely true. The number of cams does not justify the power band or revs. Port flow, cam definition and compression are the factors of rev limits and powerband. Ofcourse a longer stroke will allow you to reach VE (volumetric efficency) earlier, but that doesnt mean that the 97mm stroke...
