Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
Nice Chris. How much did they cost you? Probably not as much as you mentioned before hopefully. What methods are you going to use for polishing your wheels?
Quick Shot of the cleaned up muffler from behind. Took it this morning...
Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
Jon, since you did a test spot with the 2 methods, and you did not see any black residue coming off, you have clear coated lips on your wheels. It's a good thing, and a bad thing haha. The good thing is it requires much less maintenance. For...
Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
Thanks for your feedback Roy. For the sealant let it sit for at least an hour before wiping off for best results.
Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
Jon, if your lip on the wheel are in good condition, just use the mag and alum polish with a MF towel. Steel wool is only necessary as a last resort to really get the gunk off. I can't imagine your wheels in a state where you would need to grab some...
Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
Are those one piece, two piece, or three piece wheels? You're going to have fun with the bolts if they can come off haha. The back of the wheels looks bad, but nothing too terrible with baked on brake bust. You planning to seal the wheels with some...
Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
You got a picture of the wheels you working with?
Cleaned up my beat up Apexi WS2 I bought from Roy. I was hoping to not use 0000 steel wool, but it was too beat up not to use it. If your muffler is in good condition, do not...
Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
Cleaned, Decontaminated, and Opti Coated my wheels yesterday. Let them cure for 24hrs without being exposed to nature's elements. Afterwards mounted them back onto the car and misted some water on it to double check the beading to make sure they were...
I recommend Jeff(Jephu) Leds. He will take care of you. On his for sale thread he uploaded a DIY for each task you are trying to convert to Leds.

Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
I forgot how much time I spent on each tip, but total time came out to be almost an hour. I put the product onto the steel wool and used firm medium pressure to rub it. You can buy the fine grade 0000 steel wool anywhere but if you are in a...
Re: What did you do today Detailing related?
A freind recently bought a 01 corvette, and he brought it over to have me examine a defect on the paint. After I found out the rear bumper was resprayed, I decided to test a product on his muffler tips.
Before
A lot of...

Nothing you can do about it due to our fender liners are made of plastic. It does not absorb the impact as well compared to felt fender liners, which are made to absorb the impact better to lessen the sound.
Jon, I'm not as experienced, or as knowledgeable as you in photography, but the site I use is for very simple editing, and cropping. It's free and user friendly. Take a look at it.

You could downshift to 2nd and be at 3-4kish rpm with good power. If you're in 3rd gear going about 40-50, the rpms will be very low barely 3k and you won't make good power. The 5spd is a big difference from auto, but it's not going to be as fast or anywhere close to your h22.
