98-02 possible subframe recall due to a/c drain pipe

I would happily put my OEM shocks & springs back in long enough to take it in and get a new sub frame. They mentioned Ohio, i wonder if this is a problem more common in northern states that have the roads salted all winter long or if it has occured in southern states too.

What are the metal things you put on steep driveways called?

True. Unless the house is on a private drive not publicly maintained... But i doubt that, so you have the more valid point. He could ask the city. Never hurts to try.

    Halloween/Skyline Cruise Pics Thread

Don't you worry. My girls sister was posting pics from newport news. between that and watching the news, i don't blame anyone down south for not coming. I do blame all the pansy *** northern virginians though. the weather was perfect for driving... until the last hour.

What are the metal things you put on steep driveways called?

1.5" pvc pipe the length of the driveway and a couple bags of concrete mix. Put the pvc in the trough of the curb and pour concrete over it. flatten it at the angle you want and let it dry.

    Halloween/Skyline Cruise Pics Thread

I wish one of us had a go pro on the hood. While the turnout was 1/4 the size of the last one, this skyline cruise was WAY more fun than the last one.

DIY: How to polish aluminum wheels.

Great write up. along the same line as the one i did a couple months back. you did a great job. might i add one more reccomendation. after the 2000 grit finish. Use White diamond Metal polish on the whole thing for a Mirror finish. at least for those who like that extra shine.

Locked your keys in your car? No problem!

Everyone keep an Eye out in GA for stolen 6th gens... Valet key ftw. I do carry zipties and a screwdriver everywhere i go. only problem is they're in the glove compartment. so that wouldn't work for my own keys being locked in. But a good idea for me to help someone else get their keys out.

    Vehicle service ramps

build your own. thats what i would do. Wood is Cheap, and will hold tons of weight. you can design it so accommodate your height, and to raise the front as high as you think is needed or practical.

I refinished my wheels for teh maximum shine (sorry 56k, go away)

You may be right. But i like to keep my car to my tastes. Between the OEM rep sides and rear and the common mesh look wheels, it has enough of what others also have. The front lip is a big part of what pulls it apart from the rest. keeps it me. Keeping it me is why i did the blue hardware...

I refinished my wheels for teh maximum shine (sorry 56k, go away)

Thanks guys. the lip is actually for the 01-02. so it's fitment isn't exactly great, plus the passenger side (the one thats the worst) got into a fight with a parking block, barely survived i think the poly stretched out a bit. I'm sure i can tweak the corners up a tad. level it out. It needs to...

I refinished my wheels for teh maximum shine (sorry 56k, go away)

So after a couple months of trying to find little periods of time to make progress here and there i've finally managed to finish my project of refurbishing my wheels. After disassembling them I wetsanded the lips from 800-1000-1500-2000-3000 grit. I then used White diamond Metal polish for...
