    So to begin with, some of you already know about these retros. I decided to rebuild them because one of the headlights was rattling and I wanted to blackhouse them and add the clear strip to 'em. Problems from before: Both high beams sat low on the road so there was no purpose in using them...

    just buy those morimoto minis they are extremely easy to install and get H1 HID bulbs from TRS. and use your ballasts that you have right now.
