    I don't know much about the h/f motors. I would use what you have; just remove the butterfly plate, get a bigger tb, and port the manifold to match. Not sure on the others.

    Timing belt felt slack

    Can you describe the noise? Is it a clatter, knock, or ping? It could be that it has lost the adjustment cause of the slack in the belt. I would stop driving the car until I found out what it was. You don't want the belt to come off and cause the valves to meet the pistons.

    I think you have to keep the iacv. It controls the idle. If go with a standalone computer you will NOT be able to pass an emission test. unless.....you know someone, who knows someone, who knows a guy.
