    it was a metallic red off of a yamaha r1 but believe me those white wheels were no where near as nice as my new wheels cause they were plasti dipped white so up close there was a lot of imperfections

    What'd you do to your accord today?

    Just got the car back from the paint shop and she looks beautiful ill take better pics when its sunny outside so you can really appreciate the metallic paint. Took it to get the windows tinted 15% and put my new 5zigen wheels on her!

    Ill post up some pics of the hids tonight but only one of my high beams is working cause one of the ballasts is broke but my low beams work just fine

    Bad piston!

    So we pulled out the valves on the cylinder with low compression and the exhaust valves they dont look to good. They are very uneven all around. So im guessing this was my problem the entire time. How much will it cost to get a valve job on those valves? How much more would it be to get them all...

    There was no oil in coolant or vice versa so i dont believe its the head gasket and when i did compression wet it was the same as dry so that indicates its not the rings right? correct me if im wrong.

    And it's just that one cylinder all the rest of the cylinders have great compression

    Okay so I pulled the piston and the piston and rings look completely fine and the cylinder walls are fine. So what else can cause that cylinder to have low compression? Bent valves?

    Okay well thanks for all the help I just had a conversation with my father and he said he knew we had to do all the honing and balancing I just didnt know :lawl: And my new struts and coilover sleeves should be here next week so ill have some pics up!

    Okay well I dont have a bad piston itself its just the rings. I only bought the new pistons because i figured it would be easier that way but it seems im wrong. So i would like to know is would it be easier to just replace the rings assuming thats all thats wrong.

    Thanks that was all i really needed to know and the pistons i bought are already on rods so i wont have to swap out the piston itself. And my father has been a mechanic all his life and he said it would be pretty simple since hes used to working on big diesels and what not. i just wanted to know...
