    Transmission issue?

I did the 3x drain and fill over the weekend. And sure enough, everything is much better. It's definitely a mechanical issue as I still have the stalling/grinding issue from 1st to 2nd, but everything "feels" smoother.

    Transmission issue?

Yeah, mine is at that 164k mile mark. I know others have said that the transmission is on its way out, but it's been this way for a few years now. I dunno, regardless, I go home for Thanksgiving, so I'll take it to my dad's mechanic at that point and get the car looked at.

    Transmission issue?

So any advice on prolonging the tranny? It's a 2000 SE with 163k miles on it. Like I said, the color of the fluid looks good, but I was planning on a drain & fill this weekend. If it is the torque converter and it's just heading towards needing a tranny replacement, should I put money into...

    Transmission issue?

Nothing to update. I'll have to take it to the shop to see if they can diagnose what's going on. I have no check engine light or anything. Just that poor shift from 1st to 2nd, sometimes rattles into 2nd gear. No other problems besides that. I've asked friends and co workers, some say...

    Transmission issue?

2000 Accord SE, 4 cyl, 170k miles. Going from 1st to 2nd, my engine revs and sometimes kicks before shifting to 2nd. Nothing like that happens once I get past 1st gear. I checked transmission fluid level and the level is good and is reddish in color. I didn't know about this forum and had my...

    Help with alternator whine

Couldn't figure it out. Decided to scrap the Dual brand and go with a JVC. It comes in tomorrow. Will post update. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006B1C88Y/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00 Dammit, it's gone down $4 since I made my purchase. :furious:

    Help with alternator whine

I hear it through the speakers. When I turn the car on and bluetooth connects, the whining starts. As I accelerate, the whining gets higher pitched, and as it shifts to next gear you can hear the shift through the speakers. The head unit ground wire is connected to the adapter and plugged...

    Help with alternator whine

So I've searched for an answer, but all answers seem to involve an amp of some sort. Unfortunately for me, after installing a head unit with no amp, I get the dreaded alternator whine. The head unit is...
