1999 Honda Accord LX no crank/no start

I would take it to a place like AutoZone and have them check the battery and the alternator for free. You may have a ground problem. You could watch some Scotty Kilmer YouTube videos on "Fixing Strange auto electrical problems" and "Finding the source of electrical shorts in your car"

    Car wont start

Watch Scotty Kilmer's YouTube videos "Fixing a Honda that died on the road" and "Fixing a car that cranks but doesn't start up". You can get a spark tester at any auto parts store. You can get a fuel pressure tester at a place like Harbor Freight Tools. ErictheCarguy and ChrisFix also have...

Car died while driving. Now won't start

Could be your distributor. Could be your fuel pump. Watch Scotty Kilmer's YouTube video "Fixing a Honda that died on the road" and "How to tell if your fuel pump is bad"

98 accord 2.3 car shut off when turning off ac

Haven't tackled this one myself but there is probably either a short in the circuit to the AC controller or there may be an ECU problem. You may want to try re-setting the ECU first. Turn the car off. Take the negative battery terminal off and leave it off for 1 min or more. Put it back on and...

AC does not work,no power to any options in center consol

I have replaced the whole controller several times on mine. You can get them cheap at a junkyard. See the YouTube video "Broken Climate Control?" by Kyle Ramie.

'99 EX V6 Sporadic Throttle Cut Out / Hesitation

If you haven't already put the parts on I suggest buying a whole distributor from 1aauto for $113 delivered and return the parts, since the internal oil leak cannot be stopped once it starts and you'll just foul the new parts. I put one on mine several months ago and it works like a charm...

'99 EX V6 Sporadic Throttle Cut Out / Hesitation

My guess is dirty fuel injectors or a bad fuel pump. See Scotty Kilmer's YouTube video, "Fixing a car that shuts off randomly" and "How to clean fuel injectors in your car"

Need Advice, Intermittent stall on freeway

Someone else, see "98 Accord LX dies/shuts off while driving.." posted a similar/identical problem. I think the inputs are ignition switch, ignition module or bad solder joint on main relay. The best cheap way to tell if it is the ignition switch - Turn the car on and then off while carefully...

    Hood Gap

There are adjustable rubber hood height adjustments on either side under the hood on the frame. With the hood up, you can twist them clockwise and/or counterclockwise to adjust the height of the hood when it is closed. It isn't obvious that they do but they actually just sort of screw down and...

    New In San Antonio, TX

Google P1362 and p1367. Both are top dead center (TDC) sensor codes. You will find posts in this and other forums. One person found that their timing belt had broken. There are posts that have info on how to electrically check out the sensors. I haven't experienced it but it sounds very...

Weird jolt between 1st and 2nd

It is definitely the transmission. You can have it scanned for codes for free at a place like Autozone just in case, but if it was me I would change (not flush) the transmission fluid and I would use only Honda brand fluid. The 6th generation accords are actually legendary for transmission...

    Strange noise while driving

If it isn't the shocks, I would suspect that someone didn't tighten something when you had the work done. Jack the car up and pull on the wheel at 9 and 3 and see if it moves. Then at noon and 6. Visually check the sway bar linkage as well. My guess is the sway bar.

    UPDATED: FIXED Tranny Fluid leak

One quick thing you should know while you're solving other problems - you should only use genuine Honda ATF fluid in a Honda Accord. The transmissions are very finicky about this.

    Molded Dash Cover

My 2000 accord SE sedan dashboard has a lot of cracks in it at the defroster vent openings near the windshield. They are large enough to "spoil the view. I was wondering if anyone had a good experience with buying and installing a molded dash cover that looked as much like the original dash as...

Need Advice, Intermittent stall on freeway

It might be the fuel pump and/or low fuel pressure. Check out Scotty Kilmer's YouTube video "Fixing a car that shuts off randomly"

    Weird idle issues

Could be the fuel injectors. Take a listen while it is running with a long screw driver pressed up against the base of each injector and the round handle end in your ear. You can hear whether or not the fuel injector is clicking and if it is clicking regularly. Might also be the distributor...

    rpm drops on start up

You should try cleaning the throttle body and/or the Idle Air Control valve. Scotty Kilmer has a good YouTube video "How to fix a car that idles poorly"

    1Aauto distributor replacement

I haven't used Rock Auto so I can't say. This is the first time I've used 1Aauto. The 1Aauto YouTube videos are well made and made me feel comfortable ordering from them. I know a lot of 6th gen accord owners have distributor oil leak problems so it is good to know you can solve it for just...

    Vibration at 2800 rpm 1st, 2nd and 3rd

I have a 2000 Accord SE AT i4 (4-cyl) 180k miles. It is my daughters car and I don't want to waste any of her money as she is paying for it, so I am resisting just changing things without being as sure as possible. From a stop, especially when going up hill, there is an annoying amount of...

    1Aauto distributor replacement

Today I installed a new distributor from 1Aauto for my i4 2000 Accord SE. At $114 it was almost too cheap to believe but it showed the right Honda part number compatibility. I made a video of how the car was running before I put it in (which was fine other than the small oil leak that would...
