DIY: 4-lug V6 Size Brakes with SS Lines (LOTS of pics!)

Goodridge sells one version for V6 and I4, so that tells me the stock lines are probably same. So no replacement necessary.

Why so many circles? One would've been enough!

    PVC Valve....

It's PCV valve, guys. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve. PVC is the stuff pipes are made of. Haha. Anyway, changing them every other oil change is way, way overkill. I mean granted they're $3 but you're probably better off using one of those fuel system cleaners or Seafoam every 3-4...

    Greddy Emanage Blue

With bolt-on's, your average gain from a V-AFC is about 3-5 WHP which means a $300 V-AFC + $200 tune job will equate to about 1 HP/$100 spent on mod. The E-Manage may net a HP or more because it allows you to tune for ignition for about the same price. Cost-wise, pulleys and cams will net...

    Engine Build up Need Help

For head work, look up JG Engine Dynamics. They're experts with Honda engines. A big negative is that their turnaround time sucks. Not recommended for daily drivers. They have a race-purpose F23 intake manifold for like $600. http://www.jgenginedynamics.com

    Oxygen sensor

Yikes, that low? Wait, you have a V6, right? Try to clean your EGR ports. Clogged EGR ports can also rob you of fuel efficiency, too. By the way, do you have any pics of your OEM shift boot conversion with Razo knob?

    innovate motorsports

PLX has a R-800 coming out that's very advanced but it's not going to be released for another 6 months or so. So really, Innovative's wideband products are the other widely used units on the market. If you don't need the datalogging capability and just want a gauge for the A/F ratio, you can...

Turbo or N/A, doesn't matter. It's about $300 so if you can use it to "street" tune or just use for info sake, then sure. Especially true if you don't have a dyno shop nearby. Are you going to use it with a piggyback or engine management system?

E-Manage (Standard AKA Blue) - $280 on Ebay E-Manage Wiring Harness from Boomslang - $179 (manual, +$20 for auto tranny) E-Manage Ignition Wiring Harness (to control ignition) - $35 on Ebay That's pretty comparable to the V-AFC II or the Neo. If your tuner knows how to and can use the...

E-Manage Ultimate - $500 on Ebay E-Manage Ultimate Wiring Harness from Boomslang - $199 (manual, +$20 for auto tranny) Wow, $700 for a piggy-back. It's not $1200 for an AEM EMS but still, that's pretty costly for a piggy-back, not to mention around 2 hours of tuning at a dyno shop.

    Greddy Emanage Blue

No, the AEM F/IC actually controls ignition so it can control more things than the Apex'i units. But not yet validated for use for the 6th gen. Accords.

    Greddy Emanage Blue

[EDIT]: Never mind, Boomslang doesn't have a harness for 6th gen. Accords. Unfortunately, no applications for the 6th gen. Accords. I suppose you can get a harness from Boomslang but not sure if the software will support our engine.

    Apexi AFC Neo

So at what intervals can you make fuel corrections on the Neo? Every 100 RPM, like the V-AFC II? Thanks. [EDIT]: Oh, and the V-AFC II offers 12 settings of tuning on lo and hi cam setup, making it a total of 24 vs. 32 for the Neo in Pro setting as you pointed out. The original V-AFC...

Dyno shop recommendation in the DC area?

Thanks again. Do you guys know if 1 hour will be enough to tune a V-AFC 2? This is the first time it's getting tuned, BTW.

Do HIDs work in the rain?

Ballasts and igniters are sealed, but the 9006 connectors on the ballast and the wiring harness aren't sealed in the back where the wires are inserted into the connectors. I plan on sealing those with heat shrink tubing.

Do HIDs work in the rain?

By the way, one side of my friend's HID kit stopped working after going through a car wash. The kit was a XenonDepot Xtreme HID kit and the wires don't have heatshrink wrapping around the ends, meaning water can get in the connectors. Any of you guys hear about this potential problem with some...

Dyno shop recommendation in the DC area?

Thanks highway_patrol. Do you know if any of them have good rep in tuning Hondas as well? I have an Accord auto that I'm trying to get tuned. It's slowly turning into a project car but I'm not trying to blow any engines with a bad tune! P.S. Hey, aren't you on mdstreetscene.com as well...

Dyno shop recommendation in the DC area?

Hey guys. I'm ready to tune my V-AFC 2 and don't know who to take it to. I went to Altered Atmosphere and while they have an AWD dyno, their computer and printer looks like one from the 90's and the dyno shop looks stale. Meaning it doesn't look like it gets used a lot. Plus, most of the...

Take a look at my spark plugs

I don't see much white residue showing detonation but I do see quite a bit of redness. Is that copper residue then? Can anyone tell me if I'm running rich, lean or other problems in my engine? The spark plugs were pulled when I got my timing belt swapped out at around 98K miles. I think the...
