    couple of questions: have you tried turning the wheel while the car was off? does it make the same noise? i'd think that if it were the axle, it'd make the noise with the car off. does the steering wheel vibrate unusually when you are not turning it? try it again with the a/c off.

    may seem outta left field, but at slower speeds if you hear a clicking noise it could be your power steering pump going bad...if the steering wheel kind of vibrates when you're turning it (while parking or stopped), you can bet on that.

    i don't want to do too much to it. mostly interested in new intake, and messing around with the interior. i've got the gray cloth interior and it's pretty worn/sunbleached, wanna do new upholstery and dash lights etc. would also love to get it repainted, but that's lotsa money i ain't got yet.
