I spent the last 4 hours trying to revive the database. This one is a bit over a week old. I'm about to fall out, been a hellish last month for me, so I did what I could and stayed up, now it's bed time. This is new hardware, there is a new router and switch in the mix, as well as circuit... -

New Server Being Prepped
At Midnight eastern, (which is the main reason I'm trashing this server), MySQL was doing it's backups, and it just stalls the process, so it returns server errors. You'll get them from about 12:00-12:10/15AM. And again at 1AM, it backs up the actual web directories. Haven't switched it over... -

Interesting... I'll patch it. But regardless, it only has the important ports opened to the internet, which is tcp/80 :) Plus all of my passwords are completely random, 13-16 characters, A-Z, a-z, 1-0, and special characters. Have fun ;-) I hope to get this completed soon. -

Don't worry, everybody is a tech person ;-) Just depends on what level you take it to. I love messing with this stuff, and I'm deep into the Linux world, it's all my job rotates around. Taking me a while to finish it up because after working all day, I don't exactly want to work on it... -

It's a simple move, "zip" up the website directory, export the MySQL Database, copy them over to the new server, and unzip and import the files, turn it on, and you wouldn't even know. Nothing is going to change. Old: Intel P4 HT 2.0GHz 2GB RAM (maxed on the crappy server board) 2x37GB WD... -

New Server is built, and on-going project of getting it configured before I cut it over. I'll let you guys know when the downtime will be, but won't be anything more than back up the database, copy it over, import it, and turn it back on. 30 minutes tops I'd say. ETA to come... -

It only works for iPhone/iPod Touch, Blackberry (supposed to come out soon), and the Android... Else it's a bust and won't work for any other phone (it's an actual app that just displays threads easier without all the menu ****...). Also works for the Nokia S60 3rd and 5th generations... -
