    Broken tie rod

Don't remove the hub, you'll replace more than you have to. I've replaced studs without grinding or anything, just take off all the rotor, caliper, and adapter, turn the hub to have the broken stud where the caliper used to be, take a hammer and chisel to hammer it out from the outside, and use...

DIY - How to ship a motor across country

Thanks Varnell, better safe than sorry in my opinion. Work in construction so had the tools and nails already at home, and wood was easy to come by. I'm surprised that people just band their motors and lay it on a pallet....

DIY - How to ship a motor across country

Thanks twofast4u! Hopefully it will help somebody down the road, as when I was trying to find information (within the past year) there was only outdated shipping costs and photos. I also added the note about removing the crank shaft pulley to make sure the crank stays balanced during the...

DIY - How to ship a motor across country

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Any input on this? Anyone have any experience on this? I'm leaning towards purchasing a new pressure plate and trying that out, but more towards the start of the new year, but just wanted to see if i could get some input first.

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/21/13 So talked to ACT direct on Friday and here is what they told me: We discussed many possibilities of things going wrong, and came down to a few things: - Assembly grease on disc hub was put on too heavy and flew around and causing grip...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/21/13 Thanks, but keep in mind, nothing has changed on the "tune" it was actually 2whp less than last dyno time and tune WITH the clutch slipping. The only things that changed was intercooler, intake, and clutch... The clutch was slipping...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/4/13 After thinking about it some more this morning, my guess if I made 365whp and 318wtq WITH the clutch slipping, my guess is I would of made significantly more than last time, just due to the fact of larger intercooler and relocated air...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/4/13 So went to a shop around town on Saturday, and ended up throwing the car on the dyno to see what would happen for the heck of it..... Below is the graph. The clutch ended up slipping on the dyno. Still made 365whp (and now finally...

    Interior Overhaul.....

I left the back seats out completely and bard floor. Didn't feel like upholstering even more than I had to. Plus with a rollbar in the car, kinda pointless to have backseats anyway....
