    The fork on my Rig is just a Reba solo air, nothing too special. The only complaint I have with the bike are the ****ty avid brakes. As soon as I sell my XTR wheels from my Fuel, I'll get some Shimano brakes.

    Sold the Fuel and went with the Rig for a change of pace. Different wheels, carbon bar, shorter stem installed and a Thomson seatpost in the mail.

    Honestly, in house brands or even cheap Chinese knockoffs are still super nice and will last an average rider a long time. If you're not dropping the hammer every time you ride or dropping off curbs all the time, you'll have great success with them. The wheels I'm gonna get are Bontrager...

    Well, because I'm getting a good chunk of change for my fuel, I could either spend it all and get the Remedy, or save like $1500 and get the Rig. I am actually leaning more towards that and just getting some nice wheels and live with it until I'm done with school... Also, Eric, those wheels...

    I just don't like to service Mavic products, all their spokes and bearings are proprietary and you can only order them in bulk... Edit: you should also look at Shimano wheels, they kick ***. Their tubeless Ultegra and Dura Ace c-24's are seriously rad, plus you get spectacular hubs and light...

    No way, endurance road bikes are the way to go. No need to beat yourself up on a Tarmac or Madone when you can get just the same amount of performance out of a more forgiving ride? When I get around to amassing enough money to EP a new bike, I am probably gonna Project One a new Domane.

    Man, you should have looked at the Domane also! You'll love the Roubaix though, they are great riding bikes. I love the way they look, the frame is really clean. Really though, you just need to ride your Fuel more.

    It was a lot of fun, I liked hanging out with him. He is a pretty kooky dude, but a lot of fun to talk to. It was a road ride (unfortunately) but I still enjoyed it. First time I've been on a road bike in like 6 months...

    In other news, I get to ride mountain bikes with the one and only Gary Fisher over spring break. My shop is putting on a group ride and fundraiser for our local trail association and Mr Fisher decided he could make it.

    Dude, those G29's are actually a really good deal for a decent bike. My buddy has one and rides the crap out of it. Those wheels are a pretty tough wheelset and can take a whole lot of abuse. Enjoy it man!
