Weird intermittant AC problem
So it finally failed again. As Finch predicted, the temp control did nothing to influence the temp control of the air that was blowing. Additoinally the buttons that change the air flow mode did not cause for the air to be redirected to different vents. Again, the blower controls worked. As...- HP Engineer

LOL....I live in Houston. It's going to be blowing hot air to start with for at least the next 3 months. It is a good idea and I'll try it. The fan speed adjustment does work. I will also try to change the circulation modes. (vents vs footwell vs defrost)- HP Engineer

Weird intermittant AC problem
c'mon...anybody? Someone has had to experience this. I'm trying to avoid bringing a big tube of vaseline to the dealer. How much would a new control unit cost? I'd rather shotgun debug this than let the dealer do the same.- HP Engineer

Weird intermittant AC problem
I need guesses as to what is wrong. Once in a while (1 in 50 tries) the AC will not blow cold. Fans move air fine, but not cold air. In conjunction with the lack of cold air is the fact that none of the lights on the AC contol unit light up. It is a standard AC unit - not climate control...- HP Engineer
