DIY: Stealth switch install using CC switch. Amp remote, foglights, etc.

Someone asked me about this recently so I made a couple drawings and modified the first post.

    power wire threw firewall

There is a path on the passenger side. If your amps are on the driver side of the car then running it across the engine bay then into the cabin is ok, but I still see no reason to run it that way. My car is being borrowed so I will have to go take pics of it, but as I said it should be simple to...

    looking for more amp alternator

That is true. In that scenario, 20A lost as heat. Oversize wire will fix that problem, but it doesn't make more power, just prevents a current flow bottleneck.

    looking for more amp alternator

Haha. That's leading someone to water but there is a cliff to scale down first. :) Just have someone local rewind the alternator and see how that goes. If you still have low voltage problems then you might be able to solve it with more batteries.

    Aux in on stock headunit?

I think you know the answer. Fiberglass. Some people use ABS plastic sheet to cover the opening for the radio, then fiberglass it in place, cut a hole for the radio, then do finishing work - sand, bondo, sand, sand, sand, paint. Or you could make it all out of fiberglass, but that seems even harder.

    Aux in on stock headunit?

I would buy a new DD unit before buying an adapter. A decent one with all the install things needed is $90, so $70 more but it displays the song on the unit, more power, better sound, usb, pandora, RCA outputs. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_45806_JVC-KW-R500.html

    Which Speakers?

Measure from the window (rolled down) to the steel of the door where the speaker mounts. Take that number then subtract the speakers top mount depth. If that number is positive then you don't have to have a speaker ring, if the number is negative then that is the size speaker ring you need; add...

    Which Speakers?

If you have a jig saw make them. They should be made using 1/2" material, like plywood, not MDF. And paint them so they don't absorb water as easily. OR you could buy them, but it's hard to get exactly what fits your car and speaker...

    Aux in on stock headunit?

I would ditch the OEM, as they are not that great, and get a DD unit without the big screen. Will not say Honda on it but it will look like it belongs there. Or find a Honda radio that works with the auxiliary adapters like these...

    Which Speakers?

You can get any wattage speaker you want, but the lower the wattage rating the more likely it is that the speaker will have higher sensitivity (uses power more efficiently and therefore louder) and less likely to stress the amplifier/radio. Peak power is a useless spec. RMS is the only spec...

    Amp Issues

Check the fuse(s). After that you will need to DMM to be sure. If you have one that's great and we can go from there. That is a notoriously cheap amp, if it is bad I would look at getting something more reliable.

FS: Fiberglass box and 12" subwoofer - Sedan only

I was just showing examples of boxes in a trunk versus a fiberglass enclosure. Your box looks good and doesn't take up much space, but I can still fold down my seats and use that space too.

    Good amp?

That is a great amp for the door speakers. It could be bridged for the door speakers or use all 4 channels and get some resr speakers. If it was me I would bridge the amp for the front speakers then buy the subs and amp you want.
