Looking to get a switch to turn on and off my car alarm's horn.

Every time i need to disconnect the battery i have to un-splice it's ground wire from the grounded wire i tied it in to (in the driver's side fuse box) so the horn doesn't deafen me.

Are there on/off switches where i can plug the grounded wire and the horns ground wire together?

:booty:

Re: Ground Wire Switch?

Uh. You can just get a rocker switch from radio shack and hook it up. Hook the ground wire to one side of the switch, then run another wire from the left over prong to a good ground, and you're golden.

If the thief finds it, then it'll defeat the purpose :D

:ugh2: Agreed.

Why dont you just find a different ground spot? there are only about 6 million places on our cars to ground things.

ROCKER SWITCH, thank you, ogliquidmetal

And nah i'm not worried about a thief finding it, I just want to be able to turn it on and off easily when I disconnect my battery.
