Noob Question About Vtec Light???

I heard if u wire up ur own vtec light that it cut ur horsepower or somthing like tha ... so can yall tell if this is right or wrong ... And can yall tell me the right thing plz

It wont hurt your horsepower, but if you wire it wrong, it will cause a CEL and that will keep you out of vtec, so in effect, cutting your power, my recommendation, dont do it, its not worth it

i would say that vtec lights are kind of a hypocritical thing...cause theres little chance VTEC won't come on....but if you mess with the wiring...that chance multiplies so in essense you are making a light which tells you vtec is on...but the light itself would be the problem if VTEC ever didn't come on....

if ur running stock f23 engine its not worth it becuase its a sohc... vtec aint so loud when it kicks in... but if u had an h22 or sumthin id say go for it ... just my thoughts

you wont lose HP - whoever thought it lost hp probably though the amount of vtec that came on was determined by electrical use and the installation of a light would draw power away - but thats not vtec...:jerkit:

i have a vtec light...and i see no loss in anything. if u wanna do it, then do it :)
