Morimoto Mini H1 Retrofit

LED Floorshifter Project.

I have to give "Roger" from the acuralegend.org forums credit for this idea.

I added two strips of white computer paper to evenly distribute the light better, as well as spent a little time backing off the leds, as they were too close.
Result? perfection. at least in my opinion anyways.

RE-DO!!!
I had to remake the PRND321 piece b/c i tried to use the method of removing the paint behind it with nail polish remover, yeahhh that doesn't work so well. Well actually it works TOO well as it removed ALL of the paint surrounding the letters. haha so i made another piece and imo it looks better than factory.

I repainted the shift indicator piece, and the center console around it as you can tell in this pic. Looks a lot better imo.

Your car is off to a great start, I love all the leds in there looks nice. I'm not really feeling the steering wheel cover though, but thats just my opinion, do what you want

yeah i hate it too. lol In my future mods piece it says i have a wheelskins leather steering wheel cover in the mail. should be getting in sometime soon.

i had to put something on there for now though because the sun was making the top of the steering wheel to start flaking and chip to pieces.

Regarding your future plans for 4300k or 6000k, why not 5000k, it is in between the two haha. I had the same problem, and never regret going 5k

thanks i had a flip-out radio before the double din, but it just got in the way of the a/c controls. haha

i tried to do the "red tail light tape over the needles" little mod, but after three unsuccessful attempts today, I gave up. I honestly don't even care anymore. lol

well, the Volt kit only comes in 4300k or 6000k, nothing in between. The other kit they have that has an optional 5000k is like 160 dollars.
i really want the 4300k lights, but im afraid all the retards in alabama will think i have my high beams on instead of just an hid kit, due to the pure white color of them.

Love the clean look. Did you have to shave off the blue filter on the gauge cluster to get pure white with the LED's?
